Our Team
Collin Rhoade, MA, LPCC-S
Hi, my name is Collin, and I am a Counselor at Inner Trek. I work with individuals, families, and groups in an office based and outdoors settings. I also lead therapeutic intensives in the form of adventure-based trips (such as camping and backpacking) that use interventions and the natural group experience in therapeutic ways.
The search for a counselor can be incredibly difficult. While being in the midst of difficult time in life, searching for the right person can feel overwhelming. You’ll find that my approach is easy-going and relational. I make every effort to help individuals and parents feel more comfortable with the counseling process by being clear about what they can expect from counseling and by maintaining an approachability and collaborative outlook on the process. I work from a variety of counseling lenses, bringing interventions and approaches together to meet each client’s individual needs. What works for one, doesn’t work for all. Finding what’s right for you is a continual process of discovery that I take with each client.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and Economics from Indiana Wesleyan University. My counseling background begins with my work as a wilderness therapy field guide at a reputable Wilderness Therapy program. From there, I went on to earn my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am licensed as an LPCC in the state of Ohio. I worked at another private practice for 4 years prior to founding Inner Trek and integrating my counseling practice.
Outside of my work as a counselor, I enjoy being outside with our family of five. We love spending time in our backyard, where we grow a vegetable garden and also raise chickens. I love spending time with meaningful friends, drinking a good cup of coffee, and having the opportunity to learn something new.
